Lying in Wait – Reward Offered – The Montreal Daily Witness Jul. 30, 1874
Mr. C------ C------, of the West End, is a lover of the beauties of nature and, some time ago, put up an ornamental flower stand in front of his house. A thief stole the top off of it the other night, since which time Mr C------ has procured a trusty revolver, and hopes against hope that some dark night the robber may attempt to steal the balance of the stand. He also offers a reward of $50 for the apprehension of the thief.
