Roddick saves tobogganing boy
Completely Recovered – The Montreal Gazette Apr. 30, 1890
A little boy named Charles Hatcher, who was impaled while tobogganing at Island Pond, Vt., about three months ago, and who has since been a patient at the General hospital here, was yesterday so far recovered as to be able to return to his parents’ home. At one time his life was despaired of as the bladder was completely severed, but under the skillful treatment of Dr. Roddick, he has now completely recovered.
