Pigeon Shooting –The Montreal Gazette Jul. 1 1879
Considerable interest is manifested in sporting circles over the shooting match which is to take place at 2 p.m. to-day at Lepine Park, between the representative crack shots of Montreal and Laprarie, respectively. The latter have been defeated five out of six within the last three years, yet their friends are offering the odds of 3 to 1, which is freely taken by the Montrealers.
